Let's Get to Know Each Other!
Hi, I'm Abby!
Being alive is wild and beautiful, but also not without confusion, pain, and grief. You may be struggling with an eating disorder, experiencing body image difficulties, PCOS, chronic illness, or a disability. Perhaps you are grieving a loved one or navigating gender identity or sexuality. Or perhaps you’re struggling with transitional life experiences, problems with your relationships, journeys into new parenthood, or experiencing other mental health concerns. No matter the season of the soul you find yourself in, please know this is not a walk you have to take alone.
You deserve to live a life uniquely authentic to you. After all, you are the only you this world has - wonderfully diverse and necessary as each plant in the prairie. Life can be tumultuous and unpredictable, but with a supportive relationship, we can define new paths of healing together. I will provide compassion, warmth, encouragement, and solidarity for whatever difficulty and joy life sends your way.
Some other fun (non-clinical) things to know about me:
In my free time you’ll find me outside loving nature, tending to the prairie, and planting flowers! I love spending time with my puppy (Bruno), cats (Al, Carbon, and Richie), goat (Maya), my black sheep (Sunny), chickens, and baby ducks. I enjoy spending time with my family and losing myself in laughter with my partner and friends. I love to write. I’m also fond of the arts and love using prairie plants and flowers as natural dyes for textile work. I am heartfully fond of children and love hosting days on my farm for community support programming, opportunities for kiddos to run free, and offering community connections where folks can connect with and release their inner wild.
You are more than welcome to reach out with any questions or schedule a free 15-minute consultation. Please know that I personally check everyone's insurance benefits in order to be fully transparent around fees. I also maintain a limited amount of sliding scale slots for those experiencing financial barriers; if you're needing assistance, please inquire within.
I look forward to walking alongside this path with you!
Warmly,
- Abby Rodriguez, LMSW
Under the clinical supervision of Margaret Hill, LCSW-S
